Here are random thought bubbles that have popped up since I've been here pertaining to things back in the US:
-A few weeks ago: Does my cat miss me? :-P Is that even possible? Do they even have any complex thoughts?
-Last week: I wonder if anyone back in the US has called/texted my old number that's been disconnected for a month?
-Today: I haven't driven a car since April 17th. I wonder if I'll be a bad driver when I go back to visit at some point?
-Every now and then: I wonder if I will ever work in the US again?
That's all for now :) Have a nice day/night ahead!

ReplyDeleteYes your cat misses you, how couldn't he? :)
Yes, I'm sure your phone has been called. You are still speed dial #5 on my phone & I've almost called it while driving until I remember you're not home.
... does # 3 imply that you were a good driver before you left US? :P
and you'll have to wait for your life to discover the answer to the last question!
Miss you!
Lindsey you crack me up! Love you roommate.
ReplyDelete-It actually makes me sad if my cat does miss me, I don't want him to go thru that pain. :)
-Aww I'm still on speed dial?? Want my Sing #?? ;-)
-No I was not the best driver before I left...
-It will be a wonderful journey to discover! :)
xo
Your cat would not be ending his pain by coming to see you, someone would surely think a nice plump American cat would look real tasty all fried up on a cat kabob. You did him a favor. You always have to look on the bright side.
ReplyDeleteIf you are worried about driving you could always just move to Saudi Arabia, women are forbidden to drive there, as a plus you would be dependent on public transportation or a man, not sure which is actually worse though.
While I was important enough to get the privilege to follow this site, I was never in the inner circle to get your cell number. So no calls or texts getting missed coming from me. But, as a consolation you get plenty of blog posts now that I can cyber stalk you. :)
I would say that it would be better to not work in the US any longer. You should enjoy life living in semi communism since they all embrace it already. Here we will have to endure the pain of converting in the near future and no since to subject yourself to those shrinking pains.
Actually I applied for a job in Saudi Arabia the same time I applied for this job (I can only imagine what kind of comments you have regarding that!! ;-) ). They provided housing and transportation for you (and your plane ticket home once a year), not to mention a MONTH paid vacation! After I applied, it turns out one of my faculty from Vietnam worked at the clinic.
ReplyDeleteHow did you not have my cell number? Pretty sure I had yours.
I agree with the last comment!
Cheers!
